Drive an hour from any town in northern Minnesota and you know the dead spots: the road to the cabin, the lake access, the deer stand. A cell signal booster in your truck can turn one weak bar into a usable call or a map that actually loads.
How a vehicle signal booster works
- An outside antenna on the roof pulls in the weak signal from the nearest tower.
- The booster amplifies that signal.
- An inside antenna sends the stronger signal to the phones, tablets and hotspots in the cab.
It works in both directions, so your phone's signal reaches the tower better too. That means fewer dropped calls, clearer voice and faster data.
What a booster can and cannot do
- It can make a weak signal usable. It works with Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, UScellular and the other major U.S. carriers, with no monthly fee.
- It cannot create a signal where there is none at all. If no phone gets even a flicker of service in a spot, a booster has nothing to work with.
Which weBoost is right for you?

Install tips
- Put the roof antenna as high and as close to the center of the roof as you can.
- Keep the inside antenna close to where your phones sit.
- Route cables through door seals carefully so they do not get pinched.
Working out of your truck?
Pair a booster with a power inverter to run laptops and chargers from your truck. Fleets can see our fleet and business page for crew trucks.
